Mount Horeb Wisconsin

Mount Horeb is a town of 6700 population that is 15 minutes west of Madison. Its name comes from the the place at which the book of Deuteronomy in the Hebrew Bible states that the Ten Commandments were given to Moses by God.


Voted Best Suburb in Dane County (over Middleton!) it is a fast growing region of Dane County. Mount Horeb is beautiful little city just inside the Driftless Area or the Uplands. This region of Wisconsin was spared the scouring of the ice age, so many original features remain — tall hills, bluffs, rock outcroppings, steep valleys in comparison to the relatively flat and marshy land to the east.

 

Mount Horeb is known for two things internationally — it is the Troll city, and it is the home of the Mustard Museum. Activities abound in this little city as festivals of all sorts seem to be endless from Brewfests to Art Fairs
